Monday Madness!
This morning mommy had to take Easton to Jonesboro to the hospital to get his newborn blood screening done again because it was done at the hospital before he was 24 hours old so it wasn't valid for the state! Everything was fine and all his levels were good he just had to have them redone! Mommy was a little upset about this just because it was inconvenient! We had to go to the children's clinic first, then to the hospital to admissions, then to the lab! Before I write anymore, let me say for the record, that we LOVE the 5th floor of St Bernard's....I have delivered both boys there and have had fabulous experiences, like couldn't ask for anything better! Fabulous nurses excellent service! We also love the Children's Clinic, Dr. Sneed and Dr. Edwards! Today was not such a great experience....I texted the events from this morning to a couple of friends and most of them responded with, are you hormonal? LOL...yes I am....very! I'll share a shortened version of the morning here! After all the initial hassle and my already being upset, I talked to 4 security guards to get parked, got checked in and headed to the lab! Once in there they left me sitting with a 3 weeks old while they all laughed and had a big time eating!! The girls came out and I asked if I needed to take Easton out of his car seat or get him undressed, oh no, they do this everyday!!! 5 minutes later she had blood everywhere...all over his car seat and outfit. She looks at me and says that I can use peroxide to get the blood out of his car seat and will need to wash it and peroxide will probably get it out of his clothes, but that he probably wouldn't be wearing it much longer anyway!...seriously! Who is she to decide that...I looked at her and asked her to get some peroxide and go ahead and remove it!!! After that, they informed me that I would have to go through ER to get his current weight....really? I shared my thoughts about this with them, so they walked me down to the triage room with a desk a lady was sitting at and a set of baby scales. We walked into the room and the girl said, " Mam he has to be in a dry diaper." Sure, I'd be happy to put him in a dry diaper, where would you like me to change him? They all just looked at each other and shrugged...I'm pretty sure I was over it at that point! I laid a blanket down on that poor lady's desk and changed his diaper right there!!! She then places him on the scales and says, "Oh good 12.8 lbs! He sure has grown since Thursday!!" I told her that I didn't think that was correct...I didn't think he had gained 4 lbs since Thursday! She reluctantly weighed him again and he weighed 9 lbs! He has grown and is getting so big, just not over 12 lbs yet! They then sent us out ER around to my car where the little guy informed me that I would need to pay for parking since it took so long...no thank you! The first little guy said it was just fine! I think he immediately realized my frustration, and let me go! That my friends was our morning!!! That afternoon Jenn did mommy's hair and then we came back home to play with Jackson!!! Snuggling with my two sweet boys makes everything worth it:) love them!!!
