Day 2 in STL!

Day 1 of our little STL getaway

Today Andy, the boys, and I headed to STL for a little quick fun!! We started the day with lunch at Lambert's which the kids and I love!! They got to play a few arcade games when we got there with made them super happy!

This is J's picture he sent to make a few jealous!
E was concentrating on his food like always:)
I posted this picture for all those people who say my boys always pose perfectly for pictures!!!!!
After we left Lambert's, we did a road trip scavenger hunt to pass some time!! Honestly, I had no idea this would be so much fun!!!! I'm not sure who liked it more...the boys or me and Andy!!!

Day 1 of our little STL getaway-cont.

Our next stop was the Magic House in St. Louis! It was wonderful!!!!! I give it 5 stars and 2 thumbs up...it is a perfect place for kids my boys age!! They absolutely loved it!!!!!
We started with one of the kids favorites...bubbles!!!
They were enclosed in a bubble and could see what it looks like to be inside a bubble! So neat!!!
So many slides throughout the house!!!
The ocean room was probably one of our favorite...anyone who knows my boys knows they are obsessed with all things ocean!! Not only did they have big aquariums...they had a submarine to play in and the walls were an ocean that brought the kids artwork to life!! It was so, so neat!!!!! I have videos but it won't let me post them!
Their ocean animals swam and moved all about the walls like real life...the kids could touch them and make them do things...it was so cool!
Easton enjoyed the grocery store while Jackson spent time in the pizza parlor!
The pet clinic was so neat too!!! Real working things they could use!
The sports room was a challenge!
One of the boys favorites was the 3 story slide!! This went from the 3rd floor to the bottom floor with windows to watch the kids slide from floor to floor!!
Jack's beanstalk was another favorite...it too went at another end of the house up all 3 stories!!!
The Star Spangled area was neat complete with the Oval Office and both rooms for Congress and the Supreme Court!! Jackson wouldn't smile bc he said the president has to be serious!!!
The outside construction area was another big hit!! The boys said Pop would love it! There were all types of building projects for them to climb and work on...putting in windows, painting, laying tile, measuring, hammering, etc!
This new black light room was so neat!!! Digital hopscotch, glow ball symphony, another room that brought art work to life and then the kids turned their vehicles into 3D objects to take home with them!! So neat! I was impressed!!!
I really can't say enough about this place...the kids are begging to go back tomorrow! I didn't get pics of half of it! My phone died while we were there so trying to get Andy to take pictures of everything was...well you know!! 😝 One thing I don't have pics of that I thought was so cool was the detective area...kids really become detectives to solve mysteries...they have to match footprints, finger prints, ect...my boys were a little too young to fully enjoy it but they loved the trapped doors and secret hiding places, climbing through the duct work of the building to find slide exits, movable book cases...it was cool!!! I could do on and on! So glad we opted to send the day here!! As we were walking out, Jackson said "mom and dad you are the best ever for bringing us here!" Easton said, "it was awesome" and they both hugged us tight and said "I love you"!!! That alone made it all worth while!!! However, the smiles and laughter throughout the day were definitely added bonuses!!! I love seeing happiness and fun in their eyes and love making memories with them!!!
Those who know me know I have terrible phone issues right now so I basically have been without it all night...that's been a good and bad thing...good because I've not had any distractions, bad because I don't have pictures, but that's ok!!! Tonight we ate pizza (Jackson and Easton got to choose), followed by ice cream, and swimming in the hotel pool!!! They loved it! You wouldn't know they get to swim everyday because they were beyond excited!! The pool did have a hot tub and overlooked the Cardinals stadium, so that was a plus!! As we got ready for bed tonight, this little monkey was trying to keep from going to sleep and crawled up on the chair and said "take a picture of me mom, on top of this chair in St. Louis!" He.is.a.mess!
Good night and sweet dreams!!! We are praying for another safe, fun day tomorrow! #LoveHard
